Tis the season of sales and gift giving. I had to take inventory of the items I had purchased for family to know who I still had to buy for and who has more than enough. I thought I would share what I bought and liked so far including gifts for myself.
What I bought and I liked gifts
- Stripe sweater – I am starting off on something that I wanted to buy for myself but waited too long and it was sold out in my size. Just a PSA that this is when things sell out if you don’t make a decision. The decision was made for me. I ordered this instead which with my silver hair will likely look better in the long run.
- Jeans – I bought another pair of these jeans. I have the dark blue pair already and really like them. There is 40% off right now if you are a member. Even cashmere is on sale which is usually excluded.
- Waffle long sleeve tee – My son has officially grown out of kids PJs. We got rid of what he had in the spring because the ones he had just looked uncomfortable. The extra small mens at American Eagle fit the best for him because he hasn’t had a massive growth sprut like some early teens but he isn’t a little kid either.
- Flannel PJ pants – We all got some new PJs to start the Christmas season. These plaid ones look Christmasy without having a character or silly print. My Husband got the most Christmasy with these nutcracker ones. My Daughter and I got these.
- Tis the season for cozy sweats. Whether you are pulling a zip up over your pjs or making sweatsuits your entire personality I like the feel of these everyday luxe options.
- Sweatpants – If you are looking for sweatpants that are comfy soft but really just look like sweatpants these are a great option. My Daughter is getting another pair because she lives in the ones she has on the weekends. I got a pair for myself too. I like them better than Vuori but if you are looking for something more polished try the Varley ones.
- Silver sneakers – ok these are actually on my wish list but I have never had a bad pick from this brand. I think they would be cool for travel when you want a fancier sneaker but lets face it you are only wearing sneakers.
- Hoka sneakers – The New Balance sneakers that I bought my Husband are already sold out. Again if you see something and it is what you want for someone get it because if you wait it will likely be gone. These Hokas are actually nice? I find a bunch of their styles to be too garish for my tastes (says the person with silver sneakers on their list).
- Merino socks – We used to wear Merino socks just for Skiing. I like this mid calf length rather than the extra long ones because the long ones never fit well for short and curvy types. Then my Husband started wearing them for golf and he swears by them to avoid blisters. I like them because they are cute and cozy, great for hikes or travel.
- UNO teams – we have a collection of different UNO games at this point. Our favourites are UNO Flip and UNO no mercy. We also have UNO all wild but honestly it isn’t that fun? Going to try Teams this year.
- Mercy McCarthy series – I have been on a cozy mystery kick. Thursday Murder Club and the like. The Mercy McCarthy series is fun easy breezy series. The fourth book just came out. These are only at Amazon, so you can read on your Kindle or get the paperback. The authors other series set in Scotland is available elsewhere.
- Summer Fridays – This lip balm is a hit whenever I gift it and my daughter specifically asked for the sweet mint again.
