Parka Life

Life Lately

You may have noticed I have been a bit MIA from this space for the past few weeks. I had a birthday which I share with my son. He turned 6 and I turned 39. It was kind of a whirlwind weekend getting ready for our party and having people over. A week later my husband and I were on a plane for a 10 day Central European tour. I shared a bunch of pictures on Instagram and there are so many more to come. I know I will be sharing our experience on the tour as well as all about the cities we visited. And just like that it is the middle of October and I have barely posted here! Time to catch up.

I almost packed this parka for our trip. The fur trim is detachable as is the fur lining. So essentially you have three coats in one. Without all the faux fur you have a basic shell in a cool girl army green. I am glad though I decided against it because the weather was so warm I barely needed any warm layers. But now that we are home and the weather is going to cool off I am all about wearing this parka with all the fur intact. I am loving this wine colour right now and the faux fur feels so luxurious. The only thing I wish was that the lining had cuff sleeves for a bit more insulation against the cold. It isn’t a big deal right now but I know come January it will be something that would be a must.

Outfit details: Parka Mango (more colourful fur options in my round up here), stripe tissue turtleneck JCREW (I love these I wear them all the time once the temperatures drops), grey jeans Banana Republic (these jeans are super comfy and did go on our tour), boots Marc Fisher (I am planning on buying a black leather pair. I bought a cheaper version and I am so disappointed with them.) Lipstick colour is Nars Audacious Vera. Bag is Opelle Creative mini Vanda.
