Chic Office Decor

Currently my office is only moderately chic. It needs an overhaul. Adding some chic office decor to the mix might be just what it needs to tip the scales towards a more feminine looking office.

Gold accents, lots of white, print. These are all common threads in the chic office inspiration above. Even the offices with darker details (like those bold black walls)  feel extremely feminine because the accents added. You can’t be afraid of adding colour or animal print in fact these are the details that make it work.

Even if you are in more traditional professional field as opposed to something creative you shouldn’t be afraid of making the space your own and more feminine, funky or bold. The office is our home away from home and if we are comfortable in the space it will be somewhere we are more excited to be every day and hopefully we will be more productive.

While I may not have the liberty to add a bold paint colour to my office walls, adding some gold accents (love that stapler!) or some feminine prints (love this) make a big difference.

And while personally I need more workable space for files and dual computer screens so the extra styling that we see in the inspiration photos wouldn’t work, what would work is a gallery wall and girly office accessories.

Chic Feminine Office Essentials:

1. Bold Colour – whether it is a throw pillow, or a stapler or a throw rug (a great way to hide your less than stellar office carpet) a bright colour is a great accent and a way to show some personality.

2. Fun Prints – just like a bright colour a fun animal print or a bold stripe can be a fun way to accent your office.

3. Gold accents – gold is hot right now. Add gold and you will be on trend. Plus gold items like notebooks and scissors are unexpected and fun.

4. Glam lighting – if you have the ability to change the lighting in your office this is an easy one step item that can really change the feel of the room. Go big and bold. Even adding a lamp to your desk can work.
