The black quilted leather Chanel Bag is having a moment of epic proportions. It is the quintessential lady like bag and even vintage versions go for big dollars.

And while an investment in a Chanel bag would never go wrong as the style is eternal even if it is no longer trendy, many of us don’t have a few thousand dollars to spend on a purse.

Not that I would EVER turn down a Chanel bag but I think my favourite above is actually the Rebecca Minkoff (followed closely by the chicnova and Marc Jacobs). I just love that it is really clean and simple. The only thing you really notice is the quilting.

These purses have the versatility that makes them great for a formal look or a fun choice to pair with jeans.
