Dog Days of Summer

So I feel like I have been ignoring the fact that it is still August and we are still having alot of summer weather still. I mean usually here in Toronto it feels like summer well into September.

And as much as I want to talk about Fall trends and wear layers I thought you might like some more beachy summer outfit ideas since there is still one more long weekend to go in the season.

Realistically both outfits could be used in either instance; going for lunch or walking the beach but I tried to glam up the first outfit so that it could roll into evening if need be. The beach outfit is a bit more casual so that you could have your swim suit underneath and pack that big bag with towels, sunscreen and a good book. I guess all it is missing is a big floppy hat.

As much as I am ready to have a bit of cooler weather so that I can feel comfortable in boots again mostly. And wear scarves. I think now is the perfect time to perfect your summer wardrobe through the sales because mid winter when you are taking off somewhere warm (because by November we are wishing for summer again, and don’t even get me started on how I feel about March). Wouldn’t it be great to pack some fab items that you scored end of season to show off on a beach vacay?!
