Banana Republic is one of my go to stores. I can find things for work and nicer casual clothes. Right now they have a 40% off sale so even though the prices seem much higher than they used to be (where isn’t though?) the 40% off makes things more reasonable. I had early access so everything arrived and I am going to share what worked and what did not work below.
Luxe Wool tee – I have bought these before and I really like them for layering and hanging around the house. They are warmer than a cotton tee but do not overheat like a chunky knit. I think they are a great perimenopausal layer as I generally feel a comfortable temperature in them all the time. Plus they look great too. I got the dark grey because I already have a black one from a few years ago. Recommend!
Mid Rise Flannel Wide Leg pants – these are a wool, polyester, viscose blend. I prefer natural materials most of the time but I understand that blends exist for a reason. Increased durability and all that. Ultimately these just look lovely on and are comfortable. And they are warm. I live in a country with proper winter so cotton pants aren’t going to cut it in January. I am highly considering buying these in another colour. I got the grey herringbone. Might have to go for a pinstripe? Recommend!
Slub Boyfriend Tee – Ok I didn’t actually buy this but maybe I should have? I just put this in the collage to finish it off.
Mid rise loose 90s jeans – These are essentially a not too wide, wide leg jean. Like wider than a straight leg but not super wide. I like them. They are much more comfortable than the other pair of jeans I tried. They fit looser through the belly area. I sometimes find that Banana fits me through the legs but they don’t really cut things with curves in mind so they tend to fit too tight through the waist or hips. These aren’t like that. I hope these Trouser jeans show up on the Canadian site soon! Recommend!
Vintage Cotton tee – I didn’t even try this on because when I took it out of the bag I didn’t like the stripe. The stripe in real life is actually made up of multiple stripes, not what I wanted at all. Returned.
Mid Rise Barrel leg jeans – These were not as comfortable as the loose jeans above. They were fine though the leg but not through the waist. Plus I didn’t end up liking the distressing much in real life. Returned.
Having the 40% off motivates me to shop Banana Republic more than I do at full price. Have you shopped this sale?
