Spring Uniform Style

In the past I waited to start wearing my linen clothes when it got much warmer. But I didn’t want to keep wearing my corduroy pants that I had worn through the winter any longer. And lately jeans really aren’t my favourite. So I skipped ahead to linen. And it is feeling fresh and different even if I am re-wearing everything I had last summer.

This outfit was heavaly influenced by Erica Davies. She put together something similar last year. Only her pants were Free People and I think cotton not linen. And her shirt was way more expensive. This gives the same look overall.

Some people steer clear of linen because it is wrinkly. It really doesn’t bother me. It looks more flowy, relaxed and lived in. I don’t want to feel like my clothes are made of polyester or are super ridged just to avoid wrinkles.

I have been layering a trench coat over top because the mornings are still cool. But with all the linen I don’t melt in the afternoon when things warm up.
