La Canadienne is known for their fashion forward winter boots but they have a full range of shoes, accessories and outerwear. The Maia bag drew my attention because I liked the look of the two compartments. Sharing more in the La Canadienne Maia Bag review below.
La Canadienne Maia Bag Review
The Maia bag is a soft leather crossbody bag with an adjustable and removable crossbody strap. There are also short handles to hand hold the bag. The bag has a zip closure on the top and has silver accents, not gold.
The leather version comes in the moka colour I have above and black. There is also a brown suede option.
There are two distinct features of this bag. The tassel details give this bag a bit of something special. The other detail is the two compartments.
From these angles you can see that this bag has a bit of the Celine Trio look with the two distinct compartments.
Size wise this bag is larger than it looks. It can fit a large wallet, phone, keys and sunglasses easily. In fact that would all fit on one side.
I used this bag travelling and carried all of the above plus extra phones and sunglasses from other family members. It was exactly the size of bag needed for travelling.
When I compare this to my Sezane bags (like the Claude for example) this bag is a few inches bigger in all directions. The soft leather also means that the sizing is more flexible as opposed to rigid. The strap is also a few inches longer. I always find that I wish the Sezane bags strap was slightly longer even at the longest length adjusted. This bag has that extra length. And if you don’t want the length you can adjust the strap.
Even with the few extra inches in all directions this bag is not a big bag. I wouldn’t even say it is a medium bag and yet it is a great size for travelling and running errands.
