Sweater Dress with Belted Scarf

belted scarf, alexander wang rocco, stripe sweater dress, annie bing hat, belted blanket scarfI snapped a picture of me in this sweater dress #fromwhereistand on instagram the other week and had a lot of positive feedback (well for me anyways) which made me think that I need to share this on the blog.

I went a step further and added a belted blanket scarf to up the style ante of the whole look.

The belted blanket scarf is very warm but a lot of bulk around the neck. If I was going to do this look again I would probably use a less bulky scarf or only keep it for while I was outside.

Unfortunately most of the pictures I am wearing a coat because it is cold and you don’t get the full effect of the sweater dress but it is SO comfortable. I have worn it to work twice now with tall boots and I can tell you it is going to be a go to outfit all winter. I totally get why my daughter loves wearing this combo so much. It is warm, cozy and comfortable but you look like you tried.

belted scarf, zara peacoat, alexander wang rocco in greyI am not sure that there is much more to say about this outfit. I have 3 prints going on here but I think it all works, plus with the coat on you really only notice 2 (the leopard belt and the plaid scarf).

I picked up the Anine Bing hat and I am so glad I did. The Joe Fresh one I have is much larger and some days I love it others I am not so sure. The Anine Bing version has a much smaller brim and is better quality so I would highly recommend if you want to have a hat you won’t have second thoughts about after you buy.

I Love this look. THis is exactly my aesthetic. I have those exact over the knee leather boots too. I am loving the belt over scarf trend and will be sure to pin this to my board ! I still need to try this with a nice plaid scarf but its been a little too warm these past few days.

Thank you so much for joining the #reasonstodress linkup hope to have you back next week!
