What I wore

Everlane Bridge Sandal Review

This past month I ordered a few different things from Everlane I was looking to try. Unlike my last few reviews which were complimentary items sent from Everlane these were items I ordered myself. One of the sandal launches I was really into this year was the Bridge Sandal because its classic look. This is my Everlane Bridge Sandal Review.

Everlane Bridge Sandal Review

I was really excited for the Bridge Sandal. The colour above is classic and there are other colours like black and surplus that are equally chic. I love the shape. I even featured it in this dupe post as it is a reasonable facsimile to the Hermes Oran sandal which is extremely more expensive.

As usual with Everlane shoes I ordered a half size up from the largest size I wear at other companies. Everlane shoes tend to fit narrow and smaller than other North American brands.

When the sandals arrived I wasn’t disappointed. They ticked all the boxes that made me want to order them in the first place. The leather was of good quality, the shape of the sandal was great. Even the colour was true to what was shown on the website.

The fit however was disappointing. I think if you have narrow feet the Everlane Bridge Sandal would be a good option but I have wide feet. They feel even wider in the summer. So when I tried them on I felt stuffed. The length was ok. Not generous but I wouldn’t have sized up based on length.

The leather is stiff. But it is good quality which means it will stretch and soften with time. The problem I had with the sandals was where it cut across my foot. I knew right away I would have a very painful break in process.

As you can tell I decided to return the Bridge Sandal. In a round about way this was a good thing because I got to test out the Everlane return policies. Doing a return was refreshingly easy. I went into my account clicked start a return and was able to choose which item I wanted to return. Everlane emailed me a prepaid shipping slip. Then it was as simple as affixing it to the box and dropping it at the post office.

Exchanges are free, returns have a $6 restocking fee. If you are doing an exchange the credit shows up in your account once the exchange is processed.

I was surprised that returns and exchanges were treated the same for Canadians. Which I found out after I had processed my return that it was free US shipping offered for your next purchase. Waiting on Everlane to find out if Canadian shipping will be offered as well.

What do you think of the Everlane Bridge Sandal Review? Will you try it out? I think if your foot is narrow it will work better than it did for me.
