Back when I bought my Everlane Modern Point flats I also picked up the Everlane Boxy Stripe tee. Out of all the items I have tried from Everlane it is my least favourite but it isn’t completely hopeless. This is my Everlane Boxy Stripe Tee review.

I have a hard time turning down a good stripe tee, but I tend to prefer my stripe tees in classic colours like black, red or blue. I had looked at the heavy weight tee from Everlane too but at the time only the grey was available and even the black is not black and white. I know I am being excessively picky but that is how I roll.

So instead I tried the Everlane Boxy Tee as it comes in Black and white or white and black.

Everlane Boxy Stripe Tee Review:

First off what I like about the Boxy Stripe Tee is the weight of the fabric – it is perfect. In theory I like the boxy shape although I wish I had of sized down.

I also like the three quarter sleeve which is great if you are like me and find that full length sleeves are always too long.

What I don’t like about this tee is the slits in the side and the cropped front. I feel like the slits are just a bit too long and the cropped front is a bit too short. Unless you are wearing high waisted pants and then neither of these things bother me at all. But at the same time are you just going to save a shirt to wear with certain pants? I guess you could, but it isn’t ideal.

The other option is to wear a camisole underneath as I found it cold in the office to wear this shirt, the slits let in too much air conditioning!

The large to me fits more like an extra large, especially in the shoulders which were really big (an odd place for a shirt to fit large). I feel like this shirt would have been more of a hit for me if it was more tailored in the shoulders for a more Aline fit.

The cropped front wouldn’t be such an issue for girls with a smaller chest but for those of us with a D cup or more the crop goes against us. I think if it was just an inch longer the shirt would be more comfortable.

All in all I think this shirt would work for girls who are smaller on top and I recommend sizing down.

I have found stripe tees of similar weight fabric that work well and are longer through the torso from Joe Fresh, Boden and from JCREW.
