Stripe Dress, Trench Vest

jcrew factory stripe dress, suede nordstrom trench vest

When I picked up this suede trench dress in the spring it wasn’t because I was going to wear it out through the summer. No in fact it was because I knew it would be the perfect layerying piece for fall.

Since it is only cool in the mornings, it is ok still to wear bear legs. In fact later in the afternoons I would even take off the sleeveless trench. Still this stripes combo would work even once it gets cooler with tights and tall boots.

I wore this outfit to go run errands on a Saturday morning. But I would just as easily wear this outfit to work. The dress is so comfortable but doesn’t look like something that is too casual for an office. Unless of course your office is more formal as opposed to business casual.

Originally I had paired this outfit with some low heeled booties. But then like I have done so many times I went out to take outfit photos without an SD card in my camera. Always annoying when I do that!!! Anyways it meant a quick trip back home and while I was there I changed to these bow flats. I asked my kids which shoes they liked better and both of them agreed that the bow flats were the best choice, but I could have gone either way.

Outfit details: Stripe Dress JCREW Factory, Suede Trench Dress worn as a vest Nordstrom (sold out but I a hoping for some more great options from the Olivia Palermo Chelsea28 collaboration for fall), necklace Bauble Bar, bag Opelle Creative, bow flats Zara. I wore a deeper berry shade on my lips which I highly recommend.

Hope you are enjoying the long weekend! Kids are back to school this next week for us so it will be a bit of an adjustment.
