Happy Birthday Etsy!

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Etsy. 10 years seems like a LONG time and yet I don’t feel like Etsy has been around that long. It still feels like a new phenomenon. Maybe because I am constantly finding new sellers and new things to love.

I thought I would say Happy Birthday to Etsy by sharing some of my current favourites on the site right now.

I have featured the items I have bought off Etsy long before I was an affiliate. I have found vintage coats and bags, boho totes and even novelty items for Holidays. Many of the items I have bought are one of a kind but I will link to the sellers or something similar below.

Current Faves on Etsy:

Jewelry is the reason I started shopping Etsy. I find so many unique and affordable items. I feel like after a phase with statement necklaces I am back to wanting more unique finds. I didn’t start out wanting this to be an ode to the evil eye trend but that is just where I am landing right now!

1. Evil Eye Ring

2. Third Eye Necklace

3. Opal Visions Necklace

4. Line Bangle Bracelet

DIY Supplies is one area of Etsy that I have been looking at more lately. I have shared my posts here on making a tassel beach bag and the necklace in this post. These are all from the shops that I source my supplies.

1. Rhodochrosite beads

2. Pom Pom Camel Swag

3. Crystal Quartz Arrowhead

4. Camel Swag

5. Lapis Inlaid Tusk

Fashion is obviously a section of Etsy I check out on a regular basis. I tend to stick with accessories as handmade items can fit differently than stores we are used to shopping. Still I am always finding items I want to throw caution to the wind and just hand over my measurements and order!

1. African Print Midi Skirt

2. Greek Style Leather Handmade Sandals

3Large Leather Handbag

4. Handmade to order Leather flats

I couldn’t do an Etsy round-up without sharing some artwork from two friends who have Etsy shops of their own.

The black background photos are by Gaby of The Vault Files. I have two of her prints that are in our ensuite bathroom. Much like her popular blog Gaby’s photography is crisp and modern and minimalistic. Loving the lemon print for the kitchen!

The more shabby chic photo in the middle is by a dear University friend Elizabeth who goes by Pure Nature Photos on Instagram. She now lives in LA and takes amazing pictures of the beach and florals. I have one of her pictures in our downstairs bathroom and want a larger print to go with it!
