Work Week To Weekend Style

Transition style. It is so much more than how to work your summer items into fall or winter into spring. It is about using your entire wardrobe throughout the week. Using those basic pieces that work great with trousers or a skirt just as well as with a great pair of jeans.

Keeping the colour pallet similar (it is obvious I am crushing on grey right now), I have created two looks, one work week appropriate the other a weekend look, using a few of the same clothing items in both.

The work week look really revolves around the structured trousers and killer heels. You could carry the same tote as on the weekend but I like the way the more structured bag elevates the work outfit. The vest is definitely an investment item that is way out of my league but I could totally get this and create the same look for less.

I took the two more relaxed items from the work look and reinserted them into my weekend look. Instantly the jeans and high tops look more chic than if you had stuck with a sweatshirt or tee. The tote is big enough to carry finds home from the farmers market or mall. The high tops are high end but I love the retro look of these Nike’s too which would totally work with this look as well.

Remember all the long weekend sales will be ending soon. Many of the items here are from retailers having long weekend sales (especially this sweater which is already on sale plus an extra 25% off!).
