I am really just a girl who likes to shop.
Simple as that.
I am an almost 40 blogger mom of 2 young kids, who thinks that with a bit of practice style doesn’t have to disappear when you have kids. And it doesn’t have to stop being fun because you are over 30.
I started blogging 8 years ago when my oldest was just a few months old. When other Moms were at Mommy and me groups I was figuring out how to build websites. This space used to be called torontoShopoholic but in 2014 our family moved away from Toronto to Kitchener (about 1 hour west of Toronto). After a few years living outside the GTA it felt like torontoShopoholic didn’t really describe me as a blogger any longer. I wasn’t able to keep up with the changing Toronto retail landscape; I wasn’t a Toronto blogger. So the name of the blog changed to reflect my new outlook. I think that chic can be found where ever you are, not just in a big city. If you are looking for some of my Toronto shopping content some of the most popular posts are still live here.
I am not another skinny fashion blogger. I am not plus sized either. I am a curvier “tall” petite at 5’4. I am generally a size 10-12 (M-L) but it really depends on how the brand fits. Just consider me your average sized girl looking for style inspiration in the world around me.
I think dressing the part gives everyone more confidence for the job at hand and shopping is fun. Follow along for shopping finds, travel to far off places and outfits for all 4 seasons.

I absolutely love your blog and Instagram account! I'm a 46-year-old working mom in NYC and really appreciate the glamourous-yet-accessible fashions you feature. I also LOVE your haircut.
