What I wore

Professional Style; Stripe Trousers

I don’t know if it is just me but I feel like Banana Republic is getting back to what it does best. I have had plenty of success in the last year with finding casual tops and dress pants for work. The last time I remember shopping there so much was about back in 2007 when I was working an office job in Toronto.

I ordered three different pairs of pants from Banana Republic to refresh my work wardrobe. I ordered one Avery, one Logan and one Ryan. The Avery I knew would fit as I have had success with that style before but I wasn’t sure about the Logan nor Ryan. Both of the last two were a stripe style. Unfortunately the Ryan fit wasn’t very good for my body type and the vertical stripe pattern went all wonky on my thighs so I sent that pair back.

These horizontal stripe trousers are the Logan fit which has a higher waist than the Avery which I actually kinda like. As you can see they are not as cropped on me as on the model, more of an ankle cut.

I paired these Banana trousers with the twist knot sweater in black. Yes it is the same shirt as in the last post in a different colour. But I really like it that much and I wanted to show it for work as opposed to casual. I was planning to add a pop of red with red heels but chose the shoes I am actually wearing on the regular these days.

I just purchased the BR Logan pants and so far I really like them. I have to get them hemmed unfortunately, as the pair I bought only came in a 33 length. I also love the Avery and the Ryan fit as well! I particularity like these striped ones on you as well.

Thanks so much Shelly! I did like the fit of the Ryan but unfortunately the vertical stripe pattern went all crazy on my thighs. I would try them again in a non patterned style. Too bad that you couldn’t get the shorter lengths. I love it when I can just buy and wear.
