What I wore

The H&M Dress

Last week I was taken by surprise. I posted my H&M haul post and I had more click throughs from Facebook ever. I am not sure if people were curious what I bought or surprised that I was shopping at H&M or if this dress really resonated with people but I was pleasantly surprised by the engagement.

The dress itself is easy to wear. It feels just like wearing a t-shirt dress but has a bit more polish because it is cotton poplin as opposed to jersey. I do find that the skirt kind of rides up a bit so watch out if you are taller. The pockets are an easy way to pull the dress down to my waist level again. The elastic sleeves are most comfortable on me at my elbows even though I like the look of them at the full three quarter length. I would say size up if you are looking for a more easy going fit.

I promised that I would show this dress styled as opposed to just the quick snap in my front hall. So here it is. Wearing my sporty but chic Everlane Street Sandals and a Clare V fanny pack. I had sort of forgotten about the Street Sandals but finally pulled them out of the closet for some use and I am so glad I did. I forgot how comfortable they are to wear. The fanny pack I have been using all the time to go to the park and to pick up the kids from camp. It means I have hands free to walk with my kids but can still carry my keys and my phone.
