BLANKNYC Suede Moto review

Brown and black doesn’t exactly scream spring or summer but pairing this suede moto with light wash denim helps to summer up the outfit. I picked up the jacket from Nordstrom when they were having a free shipping promo for Canadians. This is my BlankNYC Suede Moto review.

BLANKNYC Suede Moto Review

The BlankNYC Morning Suede Moto jacket is shown above in the Coffee Bean colour. This jacket has sealed it and I prefer these moto jackets in suede over leather. They are lighter and less bulky making them more flattering. Also the belt on this jacket doesn’t fall off so easily as it does on my Mackage leather moto and that jacket was more expensive.

The fit is cropped which as someone shorter than 5’5 means that it doesn’t overwhelm my frame. But also as someone who has curves I was please to feel that the arms of the jacket weren’t too tight.

There are plenty of great details on this jacket like the zippered pockets as well as a small front pocket. There are shoulder epauletes, zippered sleeves and my favourite is the snaps on the notched collar. This keeps the collar laying flat which can be super helpful. The jacket is fitted but not too small. You should choose your normal size. A number of the colours of this jacket are currently ON SALE!

I also picked up the Gibson Twist Front Cozy Fleece pullover. The name makes it sound like more of a sweater but in truth it is somewhere between a cotton top and a sweater. This shirt is so flattering I want it in more colours. Definitely the heather grey and the soft blue. The twist front kind of gives it a half tucked look and the texture is so soft. I have worn this shirt for both work and weekend; it is very versatile.

While I feel like I went on a bit of a shopping binge I was so happy with how everything turned out I didn’t even consider for a second to return these items. I can’t always say the same with other retailers. Canadians take note that Nordstrom just launched their store credit card recently and  we will have access to the same points system in play in the US.

If you have been on the fence about picking up a BlankNYC suede moto I would say go for it. Even at full price this is a really affordable leather jacket.
