What I wore

Long Camel Coat

If you are following me on instagram you might have already known that I broke down and bought my dream coat. I have been looking for a maxi length camel coat and the Mackage Babie coat is IT.

What made me decide on this long camel coat was a number of things that Mackage got right. The colour is spot on, the maxi length feels fresh right now and the collar. The collar might be the one over riding feature that made this coat for me. I also like that it is really clean and streamlined.

Unlike so many of these belted style coats this one somehow manages not to look like a bathrobe which is a huge plus.

Another feature I like which I wasn’t really even thinking about is the extra long belt. The belt is attached so I don’t have to worry about losing it, but it is also long enough to tie in a bow which I love.

I am going to spend some more time wearing the coat before I do a full review but these are some of the reasons that drew me to this long camel coat over all the other options. So many were too short or a weird spin on camel.

The large notched collar is also one of my favourite features. It adds a bit of structure as opposed to a waterfall collar with more drape.

I am also loving how much warmer it is to wear a longer length coat. Perfect for the school pick up when the winds pick up.

What do you think of this long camel coat? Is it a style you are looking for?
