What I wore

Faux Shearling Coat

One coat style that really stands out as a cool girl style for winter is the faux shearling coat. I found this style from Asos and I think it is more flattering than the oversized biker style made so famous by Acne. The over sized biker style seems to accentuate the hips whereas this is cut in more of an aline and floats away from the body giving a more streamlined look.http://rstyle.me/n/ca6vkmi52w

While I haven’t worn this faux shearling coat on a really cold day yet (lets say minus 30 is really cold) I can say that it fares well on a regular winter day and is quite warm. It can be hard to find a jacket that has a cool vibe and still keeps you warm but this one seems to do just that. It is a good length for driving too.

One thing I will note is that while this coat has a nice big zipper which should make for easy zipping it seems to get caught in the faux shearling very easily. Still that is a small price to pay for this coat and once you know that it is easy to manage.

Happy New Year! We spend New Year morning skating on an outdoor rink in our neighbourhood and watching Indiana Jones movies before going for dinner with family. Hope you are off to a great start for 2017 too.
