Raw Spice Bar Review

raw spice bar review

Ever feel like with the right spices you could take your dinner game to the next level? I like cooking well enough but I tend to stick with the same old things. You know the tried and true recipes that turn out time and again. But they could be better.

Raw Spice Bar contacted me to try out their monthly flavour kits and I thought it would be a great way to integrate fresh ground spices and new flavours into my nightly dinner routine. This is my Raw Spice Bar review.

I was sent three Raw Spice Bar flavour packets as part of my monthly flavour kit. I thought I would start with one that was easy to incorporate into one of my favourite recipes. Instead of using cabbage as the recipe card suggests I substitute potatoes.

I prepared the potatoes similar to I always do when I roast them but substituted the Raw Spice Bar flavour kit for the spices I usually use. As soon as you open the pack you can smell the difference from standard spices off the shelf.

The Horseradish and Mustard seed flavour pack was what I would call an easy gateway spice pack. The flavours nicely complimented and enhanced the potatoes without overpowering them.

I have two other flavour packets to try out and I can’t wait to see how they taste.

So how can you try out Raw Spice Bar? Well there much like other subscription boxes you get to choose the frequency. You can sign up for a year and get 12 different flavour packets or you can try one month.

You can customize the flavour kit by taking their flavour quiz.

Recipe cards come with your flavour packs but there are additional ways to use each monthly spice packet on the Raw Spice Bar website. So if you are not sure that one recipe is for you, you can always look up another option.

While it might be simple to grow some parsley and basil on a window sill so that you can have fresh spices on hand when ever you need them, it isn’t really the same as what Raw Spice Bar is offering. They are offering a wider range of spices than the few you might have on hand in a garden, instead they are bringing a world full of freshly ground flavour into your kitchen each month.

What do you think of the Raw Spice Bar review? Would you sign up? I think it would be a great gift for a foodie who likes to cook and wants to expand their spice pantry. If you are looking to sign up I can offer a discount when you sign up for a 6 month or 12 month subscription. Use the code Flavour6 for $5 off.

Thank you to Raw Spice Bar for sending me their Flavour Kit to review. All opinions are my own.
