What I wore

Red Wool Trench

If the last few posts were about remixing older items this post is all about finding new items in current collections. I wore this to work yesterday and had so many compliments on this red wool trench.

This red wool trench is the Icon Trench Coat in wool cashmere. The cashmere is not a high percentage but it is enough to add some softness to the coat. I especially like the length on this coat as it is longer than your regular trench.

The back vent detail is also pretty awesome. I love hidden details like this one.

In addition to the red trench I am also wearing a new pair of work trousers. It is the first in a long time that I actually kept from a Banana Republic order. I had been wanting to get a pair of camel trousers and these hit the spot. I paired them with a leopard sweater and kinda did a neutral tone on tone thing.

They returned these and these from Gap. The plaid trousers were a bit too much like a golf pant. My kids said were like Daddy’s pants and I knew exactly which pair! The Gap cords were a great colour and weight but the baby boot fit was just weird on my body. I would have preferred a true flare or trouser cut. The flare on the baby boot doesn’t start at the knee but mid calf on me and it just feels wrong.
