The only types of clothing that seem to be inspiring me lately are summery beach clothes. I think it is a signal of desperately needing a vacation no matter how brief. Even though it seems highly unrealistic that my husband and I will be able to get away any time soon. Still those 4 day vacations somewhere tropical are looking REALLY good right now. If I were flying off today this is what I would be packing for the beach.

- Flamingo Road print – for that beachy feel when you can’t get away.
- Patchwork cotton-poplin dress – if you are really trying to cut down on on what you pack for a beach vacation packing fun beach dresses that you can wear to dinner one night and to the beach the next day are really perfect.
- ASOS V Neck Corded Lace Button Front Smock Dress – another great beach dress option more affordable than the first.
- Jagga embellished printed cotton-canvas clutch – I have always wanted one of these Antik Batik clutches. This one is no exception. The half moon shape and the feathery details. Plus it is always good to have to carry room keys when you are off to dinner.
- Seafolly Sweetheart Swimsuit – one piece swim suits are having a moment and I love the retro feel of this one. Almost a Baywatch vibe but in a good way.
- Underwire halter one-piece in colorful stripe – I always pack 2 or more bathing suits for a beach vacation as I find it takes a while for things to dry out properly. Plus we often put on a dry bathing suit for when we are going for lunch.
- Soludos Espadrille Sandals – a beachy espadrille is a must for a beach vacation no?
- Kailua Beach Basket – a great beach bag is another one of my must haves for a beach vacation. Something you can notice from the water to easily find your way back to the chaise, plus it has to be big enough to carry water and towels and reading materials.
- ASOS Stripe Jacquard Short with Fringe Detail Co-ord – These dressed up shorts could totally work for lunch over your swim suit or even for dinner. Too fancy for you? Try these denim cut offs instead.
