Petite Maxi Dress

As someone who isn’t that tall I often struggle when it comes to full length things. I tend to stick with cropped workout pants. Ankle cut jeans have been a great trend for me because I don’t have to cut four inches off the end. Even maxi dresses tend to be long.

But this petite maxi dress from Chicwish is perfect. I can wear it with flats and not worry about tripping all over the fabric.

I found this one on Chicwish and was in love with the big floral pattern. But I usually shy away from stores from Asia that only sell to a North American 8. Still the description for this dress meant that it fit free form and you just belt it to create a flattering shape so I didn’t think I could go wrong.

And I think this one turned out so good. The print is just as gorgeous in person! Originally I wanted to order this dress but the sizing on it makes me nervous. How can an XL be equivalent to a size 8? I just don’t understand wanting to sell to the North American market but not make sizes that make sense? Oh well.

I was surprised at how fast the order shipped as I am used to waiting a month to receive shipments from Asia. This Chicwish order arrived in 2 weeks, which is pretty fast considering I have orders from the US that come in about that time frame.

I chose the XL in this dress even though all the sizes are essentially the same. Still this size was the perfect length for someone who is 5’4. If you are shorter simply look at the chart for the size you need because all that varies in the measurements is the length. If you are taller there is an option to pay a few more dollars for the custom length which would be totally worth it considering this dress is so affordable to start.
