DIY Try; Tassel Beach Bag
This is probably the easiest DIY around. In fact calling it a Do it Yourself project might be a bit of a stretch, but I wanted to share where I found all the pieces to create my own tassel beach bag.
This year seems to be the year of the tassel. And tassel beach totes seem to be super popular. Many of the ones that I saw earlier in the year were priced $150 and higher when I factored in duties, shipping and taxes.
All you need to create your own tassel beach bag is some tassels or pom poms and a beach tote. You could make the tassels yourself but I found these ones here were so much better than I could ever create myself. I chose to mix and match a tassel with some pom poms. If you really wanted to keep it simple I would just stick to the tassel for your tassel beach bag.
Find your perfect tassel:
I will be honest it was really hard to choose just one tassel and not pick every colour of pom pom. I guess you can add a tassel to every bag this summer if you do!
In fact I was wearing my tassels on my work tote until my market bag finally arrived.
It took me forever to find a french market bag at a reasonable price that shipped to Canada. I found some on Amazon that were really inexpensive but of course these shops wouldn’t ship up here. I ended up at this store, and while the shipment took a while to get here their prices were reasonable. If you are less price sensitive there are plenty of options for around $100, but I wanted to keep this DIY cost under than of the bags I was mimicking.

Once you have all the pieces in place it is just a matter of attaching the tassels or pom poms to your bag and voila you have a boho tassel beach bag ready for summer.
Would you carry this bag to the beach this summer? Are you going to make your own or buy one ready made?

This turned out so cute! I had the same idea but made pompoms for my bag. Now I think I need to add some tassels.
