Hayseed; the gingham dress

This dress purchase can 100% be blamed on this instagram post by Seersucker and Saddles blogger Beth.

After seeing her in a fun summer dress (that would look super cute over a bathing suit for the beach or out for a patio dinner) I stalked her blog to find out where it was from. Disappointment set in when I found out it was from Asos last summer.

So when I saw this large check version of the same smock style dress I snapped it up super fast. It is just what I needed, a fun summer dress that can double as a swim cover up, that isn’t my usual basic white.

The hat I picked up at Anthropologie. I wanted a wider brim hat than my standard panama hat and I liked this immediately in store. When I got home I had to get used to the difference in size but I am back to loving this style.
